The next morning, we left the campground in Tafraoute. But before heading towards Mirleft, we stopped for another photography session. The landscape is just too stunning there to be ignored.

The road to Mirleft led through the edge of the Anti-Atlas. We descended from an altitude of 1000 m to sea level in about 2 hours.

There were lots of spectacular viewpoints along the road.

Finally, we reached the Atlantic Ocean at Gourizum.

From there, it was a short 20-minute drive to the Erkounte campground south of Mirleft, where we had planned to spend the next two nights.
The electricity infrastructure was surprisingly good there. There was a 16A CEE connector (blue, 3 pins, single phase) that we could use for charging our cars with 3,2 kW. Not bad at all for a campground in Morocco.

On my chaotic ferry ride from Genova to Tanger (see here), I met three interesting people. Two of them were Hannah and Javi, an Austrian-Spanish couple. We connected on the ferry during the emergency situation. The announcements on the ferry were only in French, Italian, and Arabic. Hannah helped me with the translation. Later, we met several times again on the ferry and had a great time together. And, I need to mention Maroni, their absolutely gorgeous and tremendously cute dog.
While we were eating pizza in the campground in Mirleft, Hannah wrote me a WhatsApp message asking me if everything was good and where I was at the moment. In addition, she sent me her location. She was just 900m away at a beach next to our campground. How crazy is this?
Of course, we had spontaneous meeting at our campground before they continued to Guelmin.

I will talk later about the other person I met on the ferry. It’s an interesting story.
The next day, we wanted to explore the surroundings of Mirleft. Our first stop was in Lagzira.

Lagzira has some very beautiful beaches and interesting rock formations.

Hans was pointing to his next planned EV adventure destination: America.

The village of Lagzira is also worth a visit. You can find a couple of nice fish restaurants directly at the beach there. This place also has a very relaxed vibe.

From Lagzira, we continued south along the spectacular coastline.

Our next stop was the stone arc at the Plage Taghoua.

My final stop on that day was Sidi Ifni, a nice little village.
